Alumnae Host Back to School Events
By Laura McKenna '10
STAFF WRITER

Across the country, back to school events hosted by alumnae encourage students to attend and get enthused about the upcoming school year.

First years will have the opportunity to meet other freshmen, as well as upper-class students, and it is a great occasion for students to network with alumnae.

“It was a wonderful way to meet fellow Sweet Briar students as well as alumnae from the Atlanta area,” Britt Schiender ’10 said.

Jennifer Lundy’10 said, “We had a really nice lunch in Columbia, SC, that gave us the opportunity to network with the alumnae. It was also amazing to meet girls who would eventually live on my hall. It was a wonderful event and I recommend that everyone take the opportunity to go to the event in their area, it was an amazing experience!”

Hosted by SBC alumnae, the events can range from a swim party to a cookout. It is all about bringing the girls together for a good time.
