What Are You Thankful For?

I'd like to say that I'm most thankful to be alive, to have a wonderful family and work at the best college anywhere - because of all the wonderful people at SBC.
-Ella Magruder

Having gotten my wisdom teeth pulled over Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for my Percocet.
-Meg Hammock ‘08

I'm thankful for the companionship of bright, enthusiastic and intelligent women who bond together as sisters and make Sweet Briar truly feel like a home away from home.
-Michelle Raymond '09

Friends who share coffee and chat together before class begins! *Especially* the coffee...
-Doreen McVeigh ‘09

I am most thankful for my fiancιe, Andrew. Going to school apart and then not even living in the same city has been difficult, but we have made it 7 years, and will probably be married very soon! I am so thankful for our happiness -- it means more to me than anything I could imagine.
-Erica Kennedy ‘07

I'm thankful for my family, pets, and friends, especially the new friends I've made here. I'm also thankful for good health and good food.
-Allison Garrison ‘10

I am thankful for my big brother, Mike, who is a proud member of the Unites States Navy. His courage, and the courage of all members of the armed forces, truly touches my heart.
-Jenna Wasylenko ‘10

I am thankful for students and others who truly appreciate all that we have here and all who have made sacrifices to make it possible.
-Bonnie Kestner

The health of my family, and the election results
-Megan Maloney ‘08

I'm thankful for Thanksgiving Break!
-Blair Mullally ‘10

I am grateful for so many things, and the older you get the more grateful you become! I am grateful for joints that work (sometimes) and the fact that I remembered not to wear the same outfit three times in one week! I am grateful that I still don't resemble my mother when I look in the mirror. Don't get me wrong...she's a beautiful woman, but the thought is still frightening. In all seriousness, I am most grateful, as are most of us, for for my wonderful family, my loyal friends, my busy job and great coworkers, and for the wonderful country we live in.
-Karen Summers ‘07

I am thankful that I can spend the holidays with my family.
-Kaylee Holt ‘10

My daughter, Kayla, who reminds me every day what the word "fun" is really supposed to mean, who keeps me from taking myself too seriously and melts me every time she says "I missed you" or "I love you mommy" and wraps her little arms around my neck. My family without whom I would not be here right now, staring down the throat of my senior year in college.
-Rebecca Teachey ‘07

I am thankful for our troops. They deserve to be thanked every day for their sacrifices and their bravery. So whatever your stance is on the war, either for, or against, just remember this season to be thankful for the ones who are willing to protect us from injustice. Happy Thanksgiving!
-Laura Cromwell ‘09

I'm most thankful for the ability to get together to eat and cook with people I love and retelling stories that we've all heard a million times but are still funny.
-Audrey Hogan ‘09

Toothpaste....even though I don't use it.
