Chi Chan’s Japanese Bistro
228 Amelon Square
Madison Heights
434-929-8090

Japanese steakhouses are a very popular choice for dinner out. However, inherently there are a couple of problems with such a trip. If you don’t have eight people, then you may end up sitting at a table with a wide array of people that you may not enjoy having a meal with. And without a reservation, it’s possible you may not even to get to eat with those obnoxious people, but rather be turned away at the door. Chi Chan’s Japanese Bistro offers a wonderful solution to both of these problems, while still delivering delicious food.

Located in the Amelon shopping center next to Goodwill, Chi Chan’s is a casual atmosphere that does not require reservations. While you do not get to enjoy the entertainment of watching your meal being cooked in front of you, tables can seat anywhere from just one person, up to larger parties with no strangers in between. The food is absolutely wonderful, and more than plentiful. Hibachi style dinners are offered with vegetables, chicken, steak, shrimp, filet mignon, scallops, tuna, salmon or any combination of thereof. Meals range from $6.96 to $25.00 (for Lobster, Jumbo Shrimp and Scallops, and each meal is served with soup, salad, rice and vegetable, amply providing for leftovers).

Friendly service makes dining in an absolute pleasure, but take out is also an option. Just call ahead and generally by the time you reach the restaurant from SBC, your meal will be almost ready! An excellent alternative to having to go all the way into Lynchburg, Chi Chan’s Japanese Bistro comes to you highly recommended!
